lets plan to forget

While running through the humdrum of life, we always thrive to live on some lively and ugly memories. It seems to provide a ideal foil for all of us inhale a fresh breath of air. Imagine a world that is devoid of these "total recall" days. If we are to only live in and for the present, how different would it seem.

The day would begin reading the newspaper with a cup of coffee on the porch, each bit of news seemingly exciting, novel and thought provoking. Driving to work on the same dreary roads; albeit on a path not taken. The first meeting with your boss, which would be pleasant as never before as the grudges of the past would have dissolved (not absolved) in the conundrum of the present.

The clock ticking towards the end of the day; as the meetings with colleagues and clients, frantic calls to sustain competitor ploys and the thought of making it home continue to torment you. The warmth of your home and family; begins to bring forth a sense of beckoning that turns into a pleasant hour of mental and physical discharges with your beloved as the guardians of darkness shut the gate behind you softly yet surely.

There would no looking back, the scenes of gaiety and anguish of the previous day would no more remain. We would start with anticipation and joy, no pessimism would exist and the shreds of ills towards fellow humans would be abolished forever. No more rewinding or fast forwarding, the only button to keep fiddling with would be the one named "play".

Messy Affair

USA, also called as a superpower by the other participants in the world were recently struck by a double whammy - Katrina and Rita. They never refrain from keeping away from women even under the greatest crisis, and due to the liberalization that woman have been provided, we would find that all their natural catastrophe's are entitled to have a feminine gender. They believe in the fundamental right of providing opportunities for them under all circumstances except only during the race for a presidential candidate.

I should apologize on digressing; the twin trouble left behind a mess that supposedly was never seen before - intonating, no where in the World. The chaos that reigned during the storm was probably of a far less number in decibel than the one after that. The governor was found hurling expletives at the president and the latter, accepting them with a sorrow face, cause the former has more powers than the nations leader in his state. The state government is incapable to act, and the federal governement bound by rules. They never ever break them, anything done to do so would be held against one, and leading to indiction and imprisonment. So use your right to remain silent.

Finally, the state government sends out an SOS, the people from the center swoop in, pick up the bits and pieces of corpses, and declare that they cannot be rescued. A state mourning is called amidst the never receding pool of water, all and sundry participate and call the ones dead as martyrs. A decision is reached that the Army has to be called in, then realization dawns; there are no more forces left in the mainland, cause they are guarding other nations against internal foes. This leads to a minor confusion, one tenth of the forces are recalled from Afghanistan or Iraq (does not make a difference really) as there are no more places to blunder.

The army gets together, starts air lifting people - alive and dead; then the red cross begin to tend to the needs of people as the green signal has arrived from the government-donot ask me which one, cause by that time none of us cared. In the meanwhile there was an uprising , not in the water levels, but by the people. They wanted to stay back at home to save their property from the Pirates and protect their pets from extinction. Truly, humane and compassionate their thoughts were that the rescuers valued their words and left them to rut in waterworld - Kevin Costner would have been ecstatic at this antic!

The plenary show ended just about in time for the next showgirl to arrive, the lack of time and no more admirers disappointmented her to leave without causing much damage to the craving minds. The strongest country in the world yet again proved that it had the guts and gumption to withstand the fury of nature with their indigenous techniques, which no one else in the world can duplicate - as similar to their driving on the streets.

Alien homeland

I was over to a friends place over the weekend at NJ- worthy to mention that this state definitely is going revolt against the federal government to provide it the status of being a separate Indian state. Lest you get confused, i shall clarify that the Indians i seek to mention, from the variety they possess out here are ones from the sub-continent back in Asia.

The place is humming with incessant chatter filled with gossips and free information to drive away, even, probably the tinge of homesickness one might be carrying. Is this something to be proud, not really i would say; after spending about $1000 and travelling 10000 miles, i was looking out for a change, and now i am bemused almost at my foolishness of landing into the Tigers Den ( Its my country's nation animal too).

It defintely has its positive aspects with respect to the spicy food that one is used too, a gourmets delight the place is, but yet found myself missing the earstwhile and garrulous vegetable vendors of the street who would turn into living nightmares for even the most hardened men living in violent neighborhoods, and carrying the tag of being ruthless. Would surely help reduce the crime rates through non-violent means. This should make us proud as this would fit the brand image of being from the land of Gandhi !

I should say; yes, India is truly globalized. We extend our culture and ettiquecies beyond the boundaries of our famous nation into continents that probably had never seen it and those who have, but have stepped to rehab.

Intertwined experience

Its been a while that i have been the United states and i have been a lucky soul to have had the opportunity to have visited a lot of places on the eats coast of this vast country. This i should acknowledge and credit, my benevolent friends for making me feel at home - used to be a wanderlust back there too.
During these travels, enlightment seeped into my mind that people out here are as similar to the ones back home; was implying to their behavioral patterns. The country seems so filled with cheerful, humorous and amorous set of people - from both the genders of course; that it makes you feel so at home. This is so unlike the tales of wisdom, which was narrated during my departure by those erudite humanoids:)
It has been a smooth ride for me as of now but am waiting for the one on a roller coaster, am sure would be more fun than the presently flat one.
