And along came Roger

In another display of magnificent piece of racquetry, the super swiss went through the dour Scot in no time. The US open has been revelation to the other side of Roger. Completely struggling against unknown faces, who would have been swatted away with the back of his racquet during his prime and written off by the trampoline critics. He evolved under all the cynosure as all the species duly do in the book of Darwin by venting out his follies and joys equanimously making him resemble a human who was embraced as the "favorite son" by the tough New York crowd. A bigger accompomplishment than all the titles that he has accumulated effortlessly over the years.

I have always believed that i jinx my favorties, so avoid watching any kind of finals. But, unable to resist temptation, i did view the French and Wimbledon '08 handing Rafa even bigger advantage than that he already had with his superlative game :) However, last night, i stayed away from the scores for a while until i found out that Roger was all in control and then turned on the webcast to watch his serve broken immediately ! Damn that was close i thought :)

All ends well this year, the smile on the face of possibly the greatest ever tennis player as of yet is back and we are in for some mindblowing tennis soon.
