Strangers in the night

As darkness slithers in silently, the cherubic noises in this world slip into tones of intensity that pervades the hearing of a mere mortal who treads in the path. A chill of the unbeknownst begins to fill the voids of warmth, created with the exodus of sunlight on its chartered voyage.
Unknown faces emerge to replace the populace, carrying an air of mystery; so innate in a stranger. They acknowledge your presence, but adamantly hide theirs, inside the lamellae of curiosity that fiercely veneers them.
The arrival of dawn marks their withdrawal into the realms of foreboding, and patience, till dusk embarks on its journey, yet again.
I encountered this noctural stranger in the aeons of time; measurable, only to watch the soul vanish without leaving behind a trace of existence. I call out loud, to say, good luck, good bye.
