Rooting for the ugly !
I have been watching American Football for the last couple of months, after years of playing and viewing the sport the rest of the world addresses by the same second name, yet called Soccer out here.
The sport is fit for the warriors is the unsaid statement, it needs guts gumption, courage, speed and skill. But, is it still worth watching; is a thought deemed to ponder, beacuse of the brutalities that are caused on the field. The inhumane assualt that one gets to witness might send a wave of chill through mere mortals but the demanding titans cannot restrain from their favorite past time.
Nearly, 200 million of the population, which is almost all of them scattered across this vast country seem to drool in anticpation for the game every sunday and monday with renewed interest and rejunevated motivations. I began with a dislike for this gory drama that was unfurled week in and week out, but a transformation almost immediately happened.
The aderalin rush did not stop flowing only amongst players out in the field performing the gruesome ,but also seemed to have a strange power to excorcize itself on the spectators. I donot know whether to call myself a victim of this ritual, but undeniable have found myself under the influence of a uncalled magical spell. I have begun to act and talk like one of them, didn't even realize when i was bitten by this bug.
I am now one of them, enthralled by the gladiators who surge a battle in the 100 yard colossuems. Gross it might be but it has its charm, and who said only good looks can kill!
